Saudi Electricity Company, together with its subsidiaries, generates, transmits, and distributes electricity to governmental, industrial, agricultural, commercial, and residential consumers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also establishes, leases, manages, and operates electric and fiber optic networks to provide telecommunication services; and offers support services in relation to the issuance of bonds and sukuk, as well as engages in the financing activities. In addition, the company manages construction projects; sets detailed designs; purchases materials; implements projects in the power sector; and provides rentals for telecommunications facilities, and wholesale services for the infrastructure. The company was incorporated in 2000 and is headquartered in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
